The COVID-19 pandemic has catalyzed a shift to remote work. It has also forced a change in the community engagement process for cities, architects, and developers seeking the input and approval of community members. In-person presentations and community meetings are no longer feasible. To address this gap in civic engagement, we developed an iOS mobile application that allows users to view and comment on 3d models during the design process.

In early 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic forced the closure of courthouses across Massachusetts–effectively terminating access to justice for many pro se litigants dependent on court services for motions concerning areas of law such as housing, domestic violence, family Law and immigration. In response, the Suffolk University Legal Innovation and Technology Lab organized a group of volunteers to design and develop a novel civic technology solution for online court filings.
